Diarmuid Johnson: Director

Diarmuid Johnson has worked as lecturer, researcher and visiting professor of Celtic languages and literature for over 15 years in universities in Ireland, Britain and on the European continent. His interests include insular and continental literary traditions from medieval to modern times, language teaching, ethnography and acoustic music. He has spent much time in the Connemara Gaeltacht, in West Wales, and in Central Brittany, collecting and recording material from oral sources, and participating in the life of traditional Celtic speech communities. He holds BA, MA and Ph.D degrees in Celtic Studies.
Amanda Reid: Associate Director

Amanda Reid lived for over for twenty years in the Connemara Gaeltacht where she ran a business, served on local development committees, organised cultural events, and conducted field-work on aspects of local history, archaeology, and the folklore tradition. Her formal background is in rural development and Public Health. These areas provided an academic basis for her work on the social and health issues that arise in peripheral rural communities in Ireland and in Wales, where she also lived for several years. During the 1970s, she spent considerable time in Brittany, experiencing there the revival of traditional music, a precursor to worldwide interest in modern Celtic culture.
Kevin McCalley: Technical Support

Kevin McCalley is a web developer and technologist who hails from San Clemente, CA. Kevin maintains innovative-learning.com web presence, and offers recommendations for website and LMS enhancements. Kevin graduated with a degree in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley in 1994. During his spare time, Kevin enjoys surfing, painting and photography.
