Residencies
The European Academy of Modern Celtic Languages and Cultures, together with partners and sponsors, organise residencies for small groups of artists, scholars and writers in various countries. The aim of the residencies is to nurture cultural exchange, and to create an atmosphere in which the participants can explore a creative vein, while interacting with local culture and history, whether insular or continental.
Residency I: Brittany

Residency V: Europe
Remeţ, Transylvania
In collobaration with Arados (Friends of Poetry from Celtic, Slavic and Romance Cultures), and our sponsors, The European Academy of Modern Celtic Languages and Cultures invites you to join a three day residency in the valley of Remeţ, Transylvania.
During the residency the following events will take place:
i) A one-day symposium on aspects of Romanian and Gaelic culture and language.
ii) A one-day work-shop during which resident artists will prepare a performance.
iii) Public performance in Alba Iulia.
iv) Visit to local sites.
Participants: musicians, ethnographers, linguists and poets from Ireland, Scotland, Romania and Poland.
The group will travel from Cluj airport to Pensiunea Ramet (www.pensiunearamet.ro).
