About Us
The Academy of Modern Celtic Ethnography offers expert tuition to graduate students and established practitioners of linguistics, literature, ethnography, musicology and of related disciplines in the humanities. Its courses cover the general field of modern Celtic languages, literature, both medieval and modern, and aspects of the traditions and cultures of the Celtic countries from early modern times until the present day. The Academy holds its courses at a range of locations in Britain, Ireland and on the continent, and offers tuition through the medium of Irish, Welsh, Scottish Gaelic, English, French, German, Breton and Polish. Courses run by the Academy range from shorter induction courses, general in nature, to longer residential courses held principally in the Celtic countries.
La Academy of Modern Celtic Ethnography propose un enseignement approfondi aux étudiants avancés et aux professionnels de la linguistique, de la littérature, de l’ethnographie, de la musicologie et autres disciplines relevant des études en sciences sociales. Nos cours couvrent l’ensemble des langues celtiques modernes, la littérature, tant médiévale que moderne, ainsi que les traditions et cultures des pays celtiques de la Renaissance à nos jours. Les cours de l’Academy se déroulent en divers endroits de Grande-Bretagne, d’Irlande et du continent européen. Nos cours sont enseignés en irlandais, gallois, gaélique écossais, breton, anglais, français, allemand et polonais. Ils vont du stade de l’initiation à des stages en résidence de longue durée, principalement dans les pays celtiques.
Die Academy of Modern Celtic Ethnography bietet Expertenunterricht an für Studenten im Aufbaustudium und etablierte Fachleute in den Bereichen Sprachwissenschaft, Literaturwissenschaft, Ethnographie, Musikwissenschaft und in verwandten Bereichen der Geisteswissenschaften. Ihre Kurse decken den generellen Bereich moderner keltischer Sprachen ab, sowie deren Literatur, sei sie mittelalterlich oder modern, sowie Aspekte der Traditionen und Kulturen der keltischen Länder von der frühen Neuzeit bis heute. Die Akademie hält ihre Kurse an einer Reihe von Orten in Britannien, Irland und auf dem Kontinent ab, und bietet Unterricht in den Unterrichtssprachen Irisch, Walisisch (Kymrisch), Schottisch-Gälisch, Englisch, Französisch, Deutsche, Bretonisch und Polnisch. Die von der Akademie angebotenen Kurse reichen von kurzen Einführungskursen eher allgemeiner Natur bis hin zu längeren Kursen mit Unterkunft, die in den keltischen Ländern stattfinden.
